ArcSight Appoints Industry Veteran Tom Reilly as Chief Operating Officer

Former IBM Executive to Lead Operational Teams as Company Continues Momentum and Expands into New Markets

Cupertino, Calif. - December 18, 2006 - ArcSight, Inc., a leader in Network and Security Information Management solutions, today announced that Tom Reilly has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Reilly brings over 20 years experience in the enterprise software industry to ArcSight and will be responsible for the daily operations of the sales, marketing, professional services and customer support departments.

Mr. Reilly has held several senior management positions. Most recently he was a Vice President in IBM's Information Management division. Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Reilly was CEO of Trigo Technologies, a venture backed enterprise software firm that pioneered the category of Product Information Management. Trigo, acquired by IBM in 2004, became the foundation for IBM's entrance into Master Data Management. Upon entering IBM, Mr. Reilly led additional acquisitions to establish market leadership in the rapidly emerging category. Previously, Mr. Reilly held several executive level positions at IBM, Lotus Development and BroadQuest.
