ArcSight Expands Executive Leadership with New Business Development and Engineering Appointments 

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- November 15, 2005-- ArcSight, Inc., the global leader in Enterprise Security Management (ESM) software, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the appointments of Vijay Iyer as vice president of business development and Haiyan Song as vice president of engineering. These additions address ArcSight's heightened focus on fostering its partner network and maintaining technological innovation to stay ahead of the evolving needs of its growing global customer base.

Vijay Iyer brings extensive enterprise software marketing, business development and sales experience to ArcSight. Iyer most recently served as vice president of sales and business development at Intacct Corporation, a supplier of ERP applications in the Software as Service model, where he played a crucial role in the construction and execution of the company's business model and multi-channel strategy. In addition, Iyer orchestrated the largest deal in the company's history with a key OEM and also closed the company's largest ever customer win.  Previous to Intacct Corporation, he served as vice president of alliances at Portal Software, a supplier of billing and customer management software applications to the telecommunications, media and content markets.  In fulfilling the role of ArcSight's first vice president of business development, Iyer is responsible for expanding ArcSight's strategic partner network, particularly with systems integrators, to help support ArcSight's growing number of customer engagements. Iyer reports to Steve Sommer, senior vice president of marketing and business development.

Haiyan Song brings strong enterprise software and security experience to her role as vice president of engineering at ArcSight. Song joins ArcSight after having served as vice president of engineering at SenSage, where she oversaw product and solution development. Previous to that, she served as vice president of engineering and support at Omniva Policy Systems, a leading provider of secure messaging solution, now part of Liquid Machines. She has led engineering organizations at various enterprise software and service providers including Allegis, Ketera Technology and Informix, where she served as executive director for the company's system management product division and led the development of trusted RDBMS server products. Song studied at China's top engineering school, Tsinghua University, she holds both a B.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida Atlantic University. At ArcSight, Song will be responsible for overseeing a fast-growing engineering organization and driving the delivery of ArcSight's next generation ESM solution. Song reports to Hugh Njemanze, CTO and executive vice president of research and development.
