ArcSight Announces the Appointment of Sandra Bergeron to its Board of Directors

CUPERTINO, Calif., July 31, 2006 – ArcSight, Inc., a global leader in Enterprise Security Management (ESM) software, today announced the appointment of Sandra Bergeron to its Board of Directors. As a nationally recognized computer security thought leader, Bergeron rounds out ArcSight’s Board of Directors with her government and private industry security expertise to further the company’s leadership in Enterprise Security Management.

Bergeron is known for her ten-year career at McAfee, Inc. where she held various executive positions within the company, including Executive Vice President of Strategy, Research and Corporate Development, and also President of PGP Security, a McAfee division, from 2000 to 2001. Bergeron’s opinions on security matters are highly sought after by government and private industry leaders. She has testified to the Subcommittee on Technology within the House Science Committee regarding how government and private industry can better address virus attacks, and has been honored with the distinction of being named one of Information Security Magazine's Top 25 Women of Vision in 2003.

Bergeron is also a well-known and highly respected woman in technology in the Silicon Valley area. She was selected by U.S. Congressman Mike Honda and San Jose, California Mayor Ron Gonzales to serve on the Silicon Valley Blue Ribbon Task Force on Aviation Security and Technology, which delivered recommendations to increase aviation security. She currently serves as Chairman of the Board of TraceSecurity, Inc., an early stage security compliance company, and on the board of TriCipher Inc., a privately held authentication company. Bergeron is also a Venture Advisor to Trident Capital and is on the Board of Advisors for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
